NCP is mounting pressure on Ganesh Naik, not to desert NCP & emotional appeal is put forward questioning “How Naiks can betray Sharad Pawar; who is in hospital & must not be antagonized? Pawar gave whatever Naiks wanted for every member of Naik family; still this opportunist move?”
Ganesh Naik never wanted to leave Shivsena but Smita Thakare & Manohar Joshi managed Naik’s ouster from SS; now Ganesh’s first preference was Sena; he met Uddhav; but insecure SS leaders like Desais Kadam Shinde pressured Uddhav not to re admit Naik so his only option left is BJP.
Ganesh Naik is not leaving NCP just for his family’s political future & posts but he is forced out because in last 2/3 years other NCP leaders in Thane district like Davkhare Awhad had boycotted isolated Naiks & Pawars encouraged them to check mate & conspire against Naiks.
Ex MP Sanjeev Naik camped in Delhi, met BJP leaders & he was accompanied by minister Suresh Prabhu who convinced BJP high command how Naik FAMILY’s entry will ensure ‘Value’ addition to party fund & change political Agri caste based equations in Navi Mumbai & Thane district.
Pawars favored Naik’s b’cos Naiks volunteered for providing unlimited funds in croers to NCP functions. If Ganesh Naik discloses & exposes how hundreds of ambulances got donated through various companies by cheques through GN to Supriya Sule’s trust it will send shock waves.
BJP is bound to oblige NCP for supporting in last assembly session by offering leader of opposition post to NCP & 4 names doing round for post of LoP in NCP r : Chagan Bhujbal; Jayant Patil; R R Patil & dark horse – Jitendra Awhad.
If so called “opposition. Party” Shivsena can en mass join Ruling BJP Alliance..If NCP can take responsibility to give stability to BJP govt. & both justify it then why blame Ganesh Naik for joining BJP as opportunist? He is individually doing same that SS & NCP did collectively.-Abhhijeet Rane
